Summer afternoon with (someone else’s) jellyfish

imageI am finally, finally reading Jennifer Holm’s THE FOURTEENTH GOLDFISH. I am reading it in a hammock. On a gorgeous summer afternoon. With a slow breeze rustling leaves overhead, and birds chirping, and the faraway sound of a lawnmower.

PEOPLE OF EARTH: THIS IS A VERY GOOD WAY TO SPEND ONE’S TIME. Lying in a hammock on a gorgeous summer afternoon. With a slow breeze rustling leaves overhead, and birds chirping, and the faraway sound of a lawnmower. And reading Jennifer Holm’s FOURTEENTH GOLDFISH.

Especially the the part about Jennifer Holm’s FOURTEENTH GOLDFISH. Which is so absolutely delicious and smart and fun. There are jellyfish! There is a cranky old man in a boy’s body! He wears black socks and explains the science of cheese! ┬áHe gets detention and belches while eating burritos and wags his fingers at grown adults! And did I mention that there are jellyfish!?!

This ? This is a good day.
