Oh, my friends. I am nearing the finish line on a crafty, shape-shifting next book: THE NEXT GREAT PAULIE FINK (working title) is about an oddball school in the middle of the woods, a group of misfit kids who decide to hold their own reality TV-style competition, whether we can ever really know someone, and what it feels like to emerge from Plato’s Cave. (And goats. It’s also a little bit about goats.) Stay tuned.

My debut novel, THE THING ABOUT JELLYFISH (Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, September 2015 ), is a New York Times bestseller, as well as a finalist for the National Book Award.

I’m also the co-author of Tim Howard’s THE KEEPER, both the adult and young readers’ editions (HarperCollins 2014); Paige Rawl’s POSITIVE (HarperCollins 2014), a coming-of-age memoir which was a Junior Library Guild selection and the first-ever nonfiction selection for The Today Show book club; and THE CLEANER PLATE CLUB (Storey Publishing 2010).
